In 2020 a moderate recovery in cement demand is forecast, with a growth of 2.5%. This is well below the trend of recent years. A resumption of infrastructure spending is expected to boost cement demand in the Philippines and Indonesia. A recovery in Malaysia is predicted as Chinese-backed infrastructure projects are restarted.
