The objective of this research work is to optimize the amount of sodium bentonite in stabilized peat so that a maximum pozzolanic activity and packing efficiency of the stabilized soil can be achieved. The optimal mix design can be applied to stabilized peat layer which functions as a shallow foundation to support highway embankment.
